Septic systems are tricky because you can't drive anything heavier than a lawn mower over them, and you can't build on top of them. Why have yours covered in grass that you have to mow over and over again? Put in our septic-safe mix!

The key to this mix is that the roots on these plants are short. Native prairie is famous for its long roots, but not all of them have long roots. These species have shorter roots. Now, each plant is different, so we cannot make any guarantees, but the roots on these species tend to stay shorter than the minimum depth of septic tanks.
