Ep. 263 (Coffee Time) Urbanization vs Conservation and the Eradication of Fireflies

This was a fun episode! We start to by asking ourselves if we had to get rid of caffeine or sugar, which would we get rid of? Then we hear about Riley’s new bison birth story. Afterwards we dive into the question of the week. We talk about how urbanization effect conservation and what to do if someone offers you stupid money for your land. It’s a tricky thought, because the land would definitely get developed, but then you could use the money for conservation elsewhere.

We finish the episode with the topic of fireflies. They’re disappearing at an alarming rate. What can we do about it? (Pssst, the answer is native pollinator wildflower plots. You can find a good option for a seed mix here.)
